Does discrimination at work still happen?

The topic regularly recurs in the media. In a recent case, some temporary employment agencies responded positively to a discriminatory request in which a fictional events agency asked for white staff. Naturally, sector organisation nbbu sides with the law which emphasises that discriminatory requests must never ever be met. And that is how it should be.

OUR CHALLENGE: THE PERFECT MATCH

Every single day we face the challenge of finding the perfect match between vacancies offered and relevant candidates. We look at people. Whatever the colour of their skin, gender, faith or culture, it is all irrelevant in our quest to match the most competent man or woman with the most suitable job. In fact, by putting up unnecessary obstacles, there is a risk that the best match between job and candidate is missed. We go for quality. Every single time.

OUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

Fortunately, in our day-to-day work we notice that our clients have their heart in the right place in asking for high quality personnel. We have been working with most of them happily and constructively for many years now. White. Black. Green or yellow. We don't care. Looking at a man or a woman and at their qualities honestly, that is what we are about. And that makes our hearts beat a little faster.
